    16 inch wheels spacers

I am interested in knowing what width of wheel spacers and tires anyone on here is running with 16 inch wheels with a 40mm offset. I am thinking I want 15mm spacers but I thought I would ask before I ordered anything. I would also like to know if people are running hubcentric spacer or the plastic hubcentric rings with spacers.

    how wide are the wheels?
    and what's your suspension setup?

Stock suspension right now but I have some bav springs and bilsteins to put on soon. I want to change the control arms and tire rod ends when I install them but I still have to order the suspension parts so it will be a bit before I do install them. The wheels are 16x7. Sorry I meant to put the wheel width.

You should be fine with 15mm spacers.
Post over on Mystikal's wheel/tire thread if you want expert advice.

Thanks. Do you have 16 inch wheels on your car?

            I had 15".
But I'm selling them soon -- I already bought (and have in my posession) 16x8" et14 that should be really flush with the fenders.
I'll be putting them on soon enough.

I'm running 16x7 et35 with 10mm spacers, so they are the same final offset as the wheels you want. Running a 205/45 with no issues at all.

You could probably run 225/45's without any rubbing issues.
I'm pretty sure that's the tire of choice for whoever has Remembers.

To get the spacer hub the perfect size for the wheel they will need to be custom made, like $150 a pair. The hub ring should be fine on the 57.1mm hub, the likes from H&R or BMP.

I had not thought of 225/45/16 before. I have been looking at 205/50/16 or maybe 215/50/16. I will have to do the math to see how tall they are.

                      The stock size is 195/65/14 = 23.980

                      optional sizes are 205/50/16 = 24.070
                      215/50/16 = 24.466
                      225/45/16 = 23.972
                      b/c I'm curious 225/50/16 = 24.858

The 225/45 is closer than I thought it would be. Have any of you guys ran this size tire before? Does it clear in the front of a lowered car? I'm guess my car is going to go down about 1.3 to 1.5 inches with the struts springs and shocks on. Looks like the 225/50 would be a little to tall.

                        225/50 is too tall.
Go with 225/45 for your car.
The offset is high enough so you may not even need fender rolling and you probably won't rub on your struts.

I'll be running 215/45 on my wheels, only because the offset is much lower.

225/45/16 will be fine with 15-20mm spacers. I've run it at ET25 16x7 without any fender rolling and room to spare.
