Reinventing The Wheel - E30 M3 Alpina Content

17" Alpina's 8,5" and 9,5" ET 12 and 24. Another specially prepared one -off masterpiece set care of Markus!

wrapped in some new Toyo Proxes 215/40 and 245/35

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics in low light, I promise to have better ones up soon!

I'm going to play with the spacing in the rear. I've calculated that even though these wheels are .5" wider than my BBS RS's, because of the ET24 they sit about 9.65mm inward. I will try either a 5mm or an 8mm. I fear that if I go to 10mm I will experience some rubbing as I had to roll my fenders with a stretched 225, there is 245's back there now with less stetch.

      Thanks!

The first E30 M3 I ever saw in person had 17" Alpina's on it and ever since then I've had a thing for the combination.

I wanted something different and it seemed a lot of people were running BBS RS's, for good reason - they are god damn sexxay!! Only a handful of ppl have the Alpina's and none look like this, so for the time being I am just a little bit different ;)

Is that your way of saying you don't like the Alpina's, haha. No worries.

I am a big fan of the T1R's for the street!

i like them, but i am not sure i like the color. come to think of it, i'm not sure which wheels i like on M3s. there is something about the fenders that makes a wheel look funny to me. but in general, i love alpinas. maybe my favorite wheels for BMWs.

^^ LOL that Louisville Slugger looks like a freakin' toothpick.

In all honesty Mr Mota and I already p-chopped a design up, authentic with decals and all - haha!

edit: I do believe I prefer your 70's disco rollerskate font though!

Nice I look forward to seeing it. I just made that in 5 minutes in Paint. But I'm telling you I'd rock a T-shirt with something like that on the front.

                        Sounds like a plan.

So does this mean we are taking your car out of 4x4 status and slamming that thing? Perhaps some BBS RM's are in order. I know where a set is hiding for $400

Im not buying another set of wheels unless they are authentic Euroweaves. Also I can't lower my car because of the sky high curve that is the approach to my drive. (remember the incident with your M3 BEFORE it was lowered.)

That biznitch needs to be slammed.. Then it will look good.
I like the wheels, I just think the centers should have been done silver because your car is already dark. So they would have stuck out more..

I've been toying with the idea of different coilover setups for a while.. Looks like I may be back to the drawing board sooner than later, LOL

I've always been a fan of the Nogaro centers, and I like a bit of a sinister look and as far as I know nobody has done Alpina's like this before. I feel silver sometimes is just too vanilla on a DS car. But then again I did first fall in love with Silver 17" Alpina's on a DS E30 M3.. Hmm

edit: I think better pics will show the contrast more, especially in sunlight.
