This is why I'll never go to a dealer. The average IQ at my shop 146 (yes, we've tested it) and we're 100% independent and take serious pride in our work. Neither my boss or I have tech certs but we're smart enough to know how to look something up if we don't know about it already. And we're smart enough to not ask about a fucking E30 lift kit...

I highly doubt he's allowed to do something that technical. On E46s and most other new BMWs the seat belt receptacle is fitted with a switch that needs to be plugged in and on some models, there's a firing mechanism that retracts the belt in an accident. This needs to be plugged in also. Add in the bolt that needs to be torqued and you have yourself a pretty complex project.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't want this fuckmonkey working on something that's supposed to be responsible for saving my life...
