These are the stock 16x7 BBS weaves that came on the Sport Evo M3. My friend Ted (uofom3) has a set of these on his M3, they're incredible. These wheels in 16x8 on a standard E30, in 4x100 fitment would be a dream come true for TONS of E30 owners, way more so than a 15x8 bottlecap. Give them about a 1-1.5" lip, and they would be absolutely perfect.
Come on, imagine this wheel in 16x8 in 4x100 for an E30...
Those just look different!Euro M3'87 NogaroSilver/Euro E34 M5 '93/Porsche 993 TT 97' Euro/Porsche 993 Carrera 95' Euro/Skyline R33 GT-R

My $.02: Something in 16x8 would be great, though mesh/weave is my absolute last choice of wheel. I know they are classic and look great, but they are everywhere, there is a ton a companies that make some sort of mesh wheel to fit our cars and they are a real pain to clean. Additionally, the mesh wheel doesn't "represent" BMW or e30's in specific like the snowflake does for vw mk1 and mk2 cars. I agree that the bottlecap is probably synonymous with the snowflake, but I don't think most e30 owners feel the same way about the former as vw owners feel about the latter. Also, with the chance to make anything, any kind of cool, retro wheel, it seems like a disappointment to me to make yet another mesh.
All that said, my vote goes to a nice Alpina knock off in 16x8 with as much lip as can be had with the correct offset.
And, BTW, very nice job on those wheels. I saw them what seems like forever ago in a tiny little section of PVW and didn't think they'd come out at all, let alone as nicely as you guys made them. Keep up the good work!

I'll say a 16x8 weave, not an RS style with the fake bolts, a Ronal LS style weave. I think those would sell like mad.
Honestly bottlecaps are decent, but if I was going with a 16" wheel, I wouldn't want the look of the bottlecaps, just aren't the most desirable wheel IMO.Last edited by 91 318is; 09-19-2009, 04:30 AM.
