Tire Size for 16x7 Front and 16x8 Rear

    Hi,

Planning on buying new summer tires but unsure of the sizes...

Initially looking for 205/50 for the 16x7 but a good friend recommended for a 225/45 for a much better stance which I like better.

But am unsure for the 16x8? 245/45??

Also already did a search before posting but no direct answer found... so throwing it in the pond for any takers

Appreciate if you could enlighten me.

    TIA

I run 205/45/16's on my 16x7's, and it creates a nice square look. No gay stretch and no excessive bubbling out. I think a 225 would be a bit wide. Maybe 225/45 in the rear and 205/45 or 205/50 in the front? I wouldn't go 245/45, that's a really tall tire.

        Alpina used 205/50 and 225/45 on the E30's w/ 16's....wider isn't always better.
