the sizes listed are in addition to the sizes already available AFAIK.....

release dates for the new sizes:

    oh yeah, what trent said.

15s own, much larger market for 15s (spec e30, spec miata, honda, etc) than 16s.....[/i]

Yeah like I said, there's no good reason to buy 16" wheels for E30's besides looks, and if that is a big concern to you, these tires probably don't fit your wants. Just a thought.

I second that. 16" is, in my opinion, the best wheel size for an e30. I was planning on getting the Azenis Sports in 215/45 R16, I was kinda hoping these would come in that size as well. Oh well, its not like I have enough money to buy more expensive tires anyway...I just hope they don't phase out the old tires without at LEAST offering all the sizes that those tires offered.

Falken seems to really support wheel sizes of 17" and larger. I was looking on their website and didn't see one wheel that came in 16" but I think every wheel was offered in 17"
Thats fine for cars with larger stock wheels/tires, but on e30's the tire is like a rubber band around the rim, which is fine if you like that look, and I think its OK, I just don't want that little rubber on my car.
nobody gives a fuck about e30s and if they have 16s. Tire companies are in business to make money. 17s and up is where its at.
So there's going to be no 16" 'sympathy size" 225/45R16s? Damn.

These new Falkens will likely be more expensive than the current Sports, but I can't imagine the price rising a staggering amount. For what its going to offer, the likelihood of it becoming another performance tire bargain are pretty good.

Can't wait until they're available. I have a new set of Sports on my ride now, but I should be thru those in about 8K miles....thanks to the treadwear rating of 200

That's the size I wanted. I guess I'll just stick with AVS ES100's.

If you wanted something like the RT-615's then S-03's, KDW's, or T1-R's (T1-S replacement) would be a lot more suitable. The ES100 is a cheap "entry level" tire, nothing like these.

I like cheap entry level tires......good cost when replace them......or at least not as much murder. But I'll replace these eventually with the bridgetones because they would last longer.

I very much hope Azenis Sports are still cheap and available in the Spring.

This will be awesome in a 225/50/15, I might get them next over AVS's if the price isn't too bad.

As was my #1 question, I was hoping someone would try it before I did. That said, it doesn't look like the 225/50 is going to make it for this season, Vulcan is listing a 4th qtr arrival.

What do you guys think of running the 225/50-15 on a 7" wheel? I'm running the 205 sports now and thought about changing to the 225 when they come out on the 615's. Just not sure if that's a little too wide for a 7" rim.
