    eURO weaves trac kwheels?

How would you rate euro weaves as track wheel? cool?

The one concern is it's not too "open" like kosei or others. WOuld cooling be affected muhc, or anything.

I'm looking for the future of affordable 15" wheels.

    TIA

I have a set of euro baskets for track wheels. They work fine. They spin round like all other wheels. :)

lol. any opinions besides the hero's?

People have said that my Type C's, SSR Comps, Koseis, and like other pretty open designs are good for the track. But does anyone else want to say whether they think weaves would be good or not, considering the general closed style of the mesh?

You wont notice a difference in braking with mesh vs. open in your first year of HPDE's.

Kosei's are cheap and easy to come by... unlike 15" weaves.

No, it wouldn't be a factor now, true. But down the road, Kosei's would be better, however I could always get them then......

And Greg skews all things....like $65 a wheel, where Koseis would probably be around $100 a wheel used. IMO, Koseis are the ones more sought over and pricer.

like get four used Koseis for ~$400, then shod with cheap ass tires for ~$250. Where TCD is selling his set, done up with Wurth and with tread for $575, which someone pointed out is actually a decent deal.

            sure...
but if you bend one... can you afford the potential long wait to replace it?

Dude, who replaces bent rims? No rims are round anyways, right Dan?

hahhahah. TJ said something funny, for a change.

Chris's point is correct I guess. I'd still prefer Koseis, but always dug euro weaves and they'd work I'd imagine. (And couldn't they be repaired?)

Can't say about the reparing of them but i know a lot of m3 guys who run the stock 15's for track wheels... only diff is the lug pattern to my knowledge... I think the Euro weaves are a cooler wheel with a more period look too... but function > form when on track i guess

I know Ely got his Hocks repaired by a local shop and could do it for ~$60 a pop, so if anything happened, I could do that.

uofom3, what size are yours? seem larger than 15"

I'm going with K1's and Azenis. Nice light, open, sticky combo. Not to mention MUCH easier to clean the brake dust off of after a run.

Thats why your car has brake ducts on the front.

14 weaves with azenis a perfectly good setup for tracking and autox?
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

probably, but mine are fubared - and replacing them isn't worth it. I'd rather have two sets of 15's than reverting back to 14. Sure, 14" tires cost a little less, but I'd much much much rather have 15".
