My question can i run 195/45/14's on the basketweaves? That's what I was really trying to ask. I can't seem to picture how that size coorelates with the width of the rim. Im probably driving people crazy, sorry :DOriginally posted by BrewYou guys are friggin idiots. He wants tire recomendations for his Mk2.
Run the proper size for that car. I have a friend with an Mk1 w/ 15x7 e30 basketweaves running 195/45-15s and they look friggin sick. I would say maybe a 205/50 would be good for your car but I'm not sure. Check your owners manual for the stock tire size and we can go from there. You can fit just about any reasonable profile tire on those wheels, width wise you are good from 175-205mm.
To me 195/45/14 means i need a 14x8's? Am i correct
or 225/40/14's means 14x9's?
oh my :) would be lovely'92 Golf VR6

Yes, you can definitely run 195/45-14 on e30 baskets.Originally posted by dirtygermanMy question can i run 195/45/14's on the basketweaves? That's what I was really trying to ask. I can't seem to picture how that size coorelates with the width of the rim. Im probably driving people crazy, sorry :D

There is no "definite" width rim for each width tire. Here's a chart showing the specs for a kumho tire: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...CSTA+Supra+712
For each size they show the recommended wheel width.
There are two different 15x7 4x100 basketweaves that were available. The ones that came stock on the 325ix, with I think about et40 offset, and the optional European et25 ones. I would guess that either would work for your car- you may need a spacer on the ix' weaves though.'91 318is
