BFG G-Force sport or Yoko S-Drive?

Are the S-Drive worth $20 more per tire?

    How do these wear?

    Thanks

EDIT - looks like g-force sports are on back order right now...

How many miles do you want out of them? Is your alignment good, and within reason?

I've been on them as well as about 5-6 other tires in that same category. I've finally settled on General Exclaim UHP's for daily driving. The sidewalls are a bit soft, but they wear great, are amazing in the rain, and actually hold their own in dry grip if you are a smooth driver. Perfect for a daily driver.

How many miles do you want out of them? 20k miles or so.
Is your alignment good, and within reason? Yes, but it will be a -2 on the front and I can rotate the tires.

Some of the g-force lineup tend to get noisy as they wear. That would be the only minor complaint I have. At first I thought maybe a bearing was going bad then I found out it was the tires.

No need for all seasons, good summer tire with good wet traction is what i am after. I have another set for autocross only.

Not a fan of the S.Drives at all. Tried them on an E36, they were surprisingly poor in the wet and nothing special in the dry.

G-Force Sports are excellent in the dry, feel very sporty. Not so much in the wet, especially when it comes to hydroplaning resistance. But you're in CA, so that doesn't matter much right?

Good deal. I wanted to see if the S.Drives were worth it or not over the G-Force sports. I'll order the BFGs.

                          Thanks all!

I actually like my s.drives. They are reasonably quiet and have worn extremely well for having a season of autox and 3 HPDEs on them. No, the ultimate grip level isn't anything special, but they are very predictable at the limit and haven't gotten too greasy, at least not in my experience.

Some online have claimed that the sidewalls are too soft, but on an e30, or at least mine, I haven't had a problem with them. Most of my use is just daily driving, and for that with occasional driving events, they have worked very well for me. Plus, they are offered in 205/55/15.
