Noob bbs rs question

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you can flip the lip. Like unbolt it and swap it, or is there a structural design preventing everyone from doing that?

Flip the lip? Are you asking if you can swap the inner barrel with the outer lip? Or just asking if the lip can be unbolted and replaced? It can be unbolted and replaced with other lips. Many people do this to make the wheel the size they want it.

I meant as far as turning it around, I know you can switch the lips but as far as just turning it around, is it structurally unsafe?

Yeah totally. They do that in Europe all the time. You just have to put a bead of superglue on the lip and it will work fine.

Like front lips to back? Or using barrels as lips? Or aftermarket lips? Or literally turing the fuckin wheel around and mounting?

OR between different sizes of RS? some RS's have different size faces, but the 13" center is most common for 17s and the 12.25 for 16s...

You probably can "flip the lip" back to front but why would you want to?
It'll look like asshole, and I can't imagine it being very safe with your tire and all...

What matt b said yes. Like if I were to refinish them and make the entire barrel shiny, and then flip the centers so I could get like a 5pm lip let's say. Possible? Yes. Safe? Anybody??
