Well, apprently the RXs are relatively weak rims, from what I hear not only from what I have experienced. Because, through regular driving on L.A. roads they are bent. I dont go nuts on my rims either, I slow down where there is an apparent sharp bump. But driving on regular roads, hitting your average bump now and again (of which you cant tell when youre driving until RIGHT before you hit it) they are bent and it wouldnt be worth it to me to fix them. And I have 17's so I tried to get the tallest tire without rubbing more than I already do (215/40). Im all for taking responsibility when something is my fault, though I havent in the past, but I know that I havent driven the car or the rims as badly as they are damaged, thats for sure.

do you want anything for them?
My mountains are better than yours.

LA roads are glass compared to us in the snow belt, and there are lots of straight RX's around our areas, for years. A wheel will typically bend when the spring rate becomes infinite, i.e. when you bottom out. Is that an issue?
Nah, its not an issue. Im glad theres lots of straight RXs out there, and thanks for not trying to make me look like a complete caveman driving, haha. Wheels will bend when there are the steel things that they put on the road to cover up holes and dont put enough asphalt around the edges to even make it a smooth transition, also when there is a place in the road (or an offramp for that matter) where the concrete meets the asphalt and it make a nasty bump for some reason. None of these of which you can predict. :)

I may be wrong, but aren't those multipiece whees? If so replacing that lip shouldn't be too hard, might have some luck with sales@kodiakmotorsports.com They might even refer you in the right direction. :D

just for a info point--- the rims are called (RS) the number,
for example 001 is for the rim size, along with the offset.
          the RS001 is a 15" 4 lug(4x100) i believe 10" wide rim.
here in germany you can get the individual rings, I paid
150 dollars last year for a (used) but perfect outer ring
on my 8.5x17 front rim. check felgenman.de he lives not
very far at all from me and has TONS of BBS rims--new
and used. the RS rims are very expensive even here in
germany, i sold a set from my touring a few months ago
8x15, and 9x15 for over $1300 and they werent in the
greatest shape either. the VW guys love these rims just
as much as the BMW guys.

Yes, thats correct. I forgot to post in this thread, I suppose. I found the rims and it was due to this site. Not a week after I posted this thread, I found a U.S. seller that had rare 16x7 4x100 RS001's for sale with black centers (which will match my ///M3s WEDs). Thanks a lot for you guys' awesome leads and links. Im so stoked because these are my very favorite rims for E30s followed closely by WRD "Mesh types". Thanks again guys.
