Officially on the hunt for 16x7.5 4x100 BBS RS1's (help)

The 17" RXs on my 325e are done (very disappointing), and I need to find a reliable place to buy these wheels. I heard there is a way to get them shipped and all from Germany or Europe for about a grand. Any pointers? Im not going to settle this time and I am a serious buyer. I also wanted to know what would be the perfect offset. Those who have seen my RXs on the eta know that they fill the fronts VERY well (rub a tad when suspension plays during a dip with the wheels slightly turned). Thanks for the help in advance, I really hope I score some for these are my favorite rims without a doubt for E30s and Ive had an unhealthy obsession with them since I was a wee lad, lol.

P.S. Sorry if this should be in another sub-forum, still trying to feel this place out since I just started posting here regularly. :)

Check with Markus over on S14.net. He seems to be one wheel connection in Germany who can probably get what your'e looking for....or at least know of someone who can.

For the 7.5" wide wheel, ET22-27 or so will be able to run 225's, I'm pretty sure the RS001's came in 4x100 ET25.

BBS RS003's came in 16x7 with an ET25 offset.

I'm not sure if the RS-1 comes in 16x7.5. You could always make the lip larger of course...

Well, apprently the RXs are relatively weak rims, from what I hear not only from what I have experienced. Because, through regular driving on L.A. roads they are bent. I dont go nuts on my rims either, I slow down where there is an apparent sharp bump. But driving on regular roads, hitting your average bump now and again (of which you cant tell when youre driving until RIGHT before you hit it) they are bent and it wouldnt be worth it to me to fix them. And I have 17's so I tried to get the tallest tire without rubbing more than I already do (215/40). Im all for taking responsibility when something is my fault, though I havent in the past, but I know that I havent driven the car or the rims as badly as they are damaged, thats for sure.

here is a UK ebay, rims look nice

this takes alot of searching, but just putting BBS in on ebay, and scroll through all 10 pages, there are usually a set or two that most people list incorectly, and sell for pretty cheap

Wow those are the exact ones. You guys have been such a great help. Gong through the trouble of posting the links and all. Thanks a lot. This site definitely rocks. I hope it stays as such. I sent him a PM and actually registered on VW Vortex so I could post there to reply. They are in the states and they are with tires. Only thing is that bend on that one wheel. how hard would it be to fix that? I know wheelsamerica charges 129 to fix a wheel but I wonder if that is the right choice. Keep the ideas coming, guys. I would have never dreamed that all this tangible info would be made so quickly. Thanks again.

Why not buy a cheaper pair of rims that are smaller for daily driving then get something nicer for the weekends and shows?

Because I fail to have the discipline to do that and I readily admit that. Its would be ideal, though. I dont put it in shows anyways. Good idea, though.

Digitalwave- If you want them, I can take pics for you. Im not going to try and make money on them. I just dont know whats a fair price or if its worth the trouble. I have one guy already in line that wants them here locally. I can keep you guys updated if you want. I just wasnt planning on selling them, cuz I dont know whod want bent rims. the tires are fucking 4K old too. Damn.

LA roads are glass compared to us in the snow belt, and there are lots of straight RX's around our areas, for years. A wheel will typically bend when the spring rate becomes infinite, i.e. when you bottom out. Is that an issue?
