Restoring Hartge Design E wheels - what colour?

Found some 16x7 Hartge Design E three-piece rims at a local tyre place.

Man, it's been so hard finding wheels for the E30 pcd and offset so when I stumbled across these I couldn't believe it, given how rare they are and how much money they normally fetch. Plus the fact I live in Australia and we normally never have cool shit like this.

They look pretty spoggy and gross atm but I'm getting them refinished - outer lips polished, centres repainted plus new bolts, sealant etc. Should be sweet.

Thing is, I'm not sure if I should keep the centres silver or get them painted charcoal/black - really love black centres with polished lip, especially on my car.

Anyone know what colours they originally came out with? I have found pics of charcoal ones, but not black.

Gonna cost me US$900 all up, fully restored :P

Damn, look at all those nice used wheels, anyway, refinish them silver, don't want to hide such a nice design/wheel with a dark color.

mmmm, thought about that but it's a bit too much I think.

I guess I want to keep it OE. So if they didn't come out in black, then charcoal or silver it is. If anyone's got links to Hartge E30 catalogues, would be good :)

Würth's silver all over or Nogaro with polished lips.

I've always liked silver painted centers with polished lips.

Yeah, Nogaro with polished lips seems like a good option.

I guess I'm just sick of silver/grey wheels after having my Alpinas. They just look so boring :?

                          btw, nice Design As natorious.
