Whats a good wheel size for E30s??

Im planning to get a 1991 318is very soon and I was kinda curious what good size wheels everybody runs. Its lowered on H&R springs, but I want something with decent offset but I dont wanna have to modify fenders. Thank you.

If possible maybe a couple pics with wheel specs... I assum theres already a thread like that and ill search a little bit also. Thanks again!

You need t be more specific, race or sport.

What are you using the car. Daily, autox, etc.

16 is the best size for an e30 imo

That part is pretty much up to you. 7-7.5 is rather average it seems. But wider always looks better.

15" for weight, cost and tire selection. 16" look nice but there just isn't very many tires in that size, unless you don't care about performance. even 15" isn't *that great*, but there are quite a few decent street tires plus lots of "cheap" race tires due to all the racing classes that use 15" wheels (specE30, Pro3, SpecMiata, etc).

17" is really where it's at for tire selection, but the cost goes up quite a bit as does the weight.

17" is also getting a bit big for an E30. I wish 16" was a more popular size.

I run 16's and don't have much of a problem finding tires, BUT, then again I'm also not a tire "snob". I'll get Proxies from Les Schwab and be totally happy. It's also my street Daily driver.

15's. 17's look ridiculous on e30's if you like that look might I suggest a LeSabre with some twenny-foo's.

17's can look alright, but it's rare. 15's can look a bit small at times also... depends a lot on your suspension setup, etc etc...

                        I still enjoy 16's.

15x9 is what you should get, great for rac...i mean daily driving. But in all seriousness if you aren't doing much with the car i would go with 15x7 or something like that as that has a decent selection of tires and is still pretty cheap.
