Need help buying Tires!!

Have a good friend who manages a discount tire near by and will give me tires at cost and wont charge installation. I need 4 new tires for my E30.

I have 16" Borbet type Hs (might be fakes)

I want an all around good tire for performance and reliability. Probablly wont be tracking the car except an occasional autocross event. Dont know much about tires and im curious as to whats good what handles well and what holds up. I plan on lower the car alot and what a low pro tire thinking about stretching the tire but I dont know much about it.

I could use any help or advice

I hear good things about Dunlop Star Specs but the sizes are limited and it might be too soft for only occasional auto-x

205/50-16 or 225/45-16

Falken 912. Good all around, cheap. A super-high ranking auto-x tire like the Star Spec won't even be noticed by you, just enjoy the cheap and capable Falken. Discount prices them LOW too.
