    honda vs. bmw centerbore

i am looking at some te37's for my car and they are from a honda, i am not worried about offset but i am worried about the centerbore, they are 4x100 obviously and from a del sol. They didn't need a spacing ring on the honda so i dunno if they will fit my car or not. for anyone who answers this who knows the honda centerbore the e30 one is 57.1.

they need spacers and rings to adapt the hub sizes, the honda is bigger.

or you could just run the rings and no spacers, and have your wheels sit 2" inside the fenders..

Double check the center bore, some of those wheels have a centerbore of 56.1 which is 1mm smaller -- then you are looking at some creative fitment :)

well that wouldn't work on the car if it was smaller would it?

the guy doesn't know the centerbore so i can't really find out, all i know is they were on a del sol. I am not buying them unless i can find out for sure that the bmw is smaller than the honda. i really like the wheels but i am not spending 1000 on something that won't fit.

2 inches inside the fenders- i have 17x7.5 now and they are 40mm i think and they don't sit in that far, although the further out the better. i get your point.

seems like you could get some spacers made with a custom centerbore on both sides. BMW on the inside and honda on the outside. I dont know what machine shops charge for lathe work but thats what i'd do.

I have a 97 Acura EL (civic) and the center bore is 56.1.
I was pondering this very same question the other day.
What about having the wheel itself machined and remove 1mm of material?

uhh....think about it again. A wheel with a centerbore of 56.1 won't fit onto a hub of 57.1. 1mm of material needs to be removed off the wheel.

Well i have those on my car they are 4X100 with 35 offset, your gonna need hubcentric rings(usually plastic or aluminum) for the center bore of the rim or you can get the H&R ones that have a centering ring on them already but they only come in a certain size but i forget. I would advise the use of 15mm front/10mm rear spacers with extended lug bolts to get the desired look of the rim sitting flush with the fender instead of sitting way in the fenders like mine, they'll be like that for the moment until my spacers and lug bolts come in. THE CENTER BORE FOR AN ACURA INTEGRA (GSR ONLY) IS CLOSE TO THE SIZE OF THE e30 ONE.

he has an ix anyway so dont think he has to worry about offset to much unless I'm mistaken
