You will definitely have to roll the rear fender lips flat, and run 205/45/16 tires at most.

unless you have wide fenders their gonna rub. go to your local body shop and ask if they can roll your fenders, rolling the fenders can make them about an i nch wider, and you'll have to run a tire no wider than the wheel its self

Thanks guys....I don't mind stretching the tires a bit and doing some fender work. I'm not exactly going for a conservative look. I guess I was more concerned about the front looking funny.

Can you guys point me to any pics of E30's equipped with what would be a similar setup?

Old school VW guy here so I'm new to all things BMW...bear with me :)

Mystikal knows his shit so anything he says is golden.

How low are you or are you planning on going? I know I can shove 9" wide Borbet A's under my buddies car with 5mm spacers just fine, but then again, he's not that low (Eibach Pro-kit: About 1.4" drop iirc)
            Need a part? PM me.

Maybe its because canada just won gold and I have had many beers but I am certain offset does not change when you increase or decrease the size of the lips.

Edit: I have had too many beers. Go canada! Woo
              Good luck fitting your wheels

Thanks for all the responses fellas...I'm already feeling the E30 love....lol. I'll be giving up my brand new GTI in 6 months when my wife's X3 lease is up. We're trying to cut down on the mandatory monthly expenses and the new car is a luxury I don't mind giving up. The E30 will become my daily so I'm working on getting everything sorted out before then.

As far as suspension, the classic Bilstein/H&R race combo looks promising but I'd really like the option to adjust the height; especially since I'll likely be running an aggressive wheel setup. I'm currently running Koni coilovers on the GTI and the ride is amazing but those will be sold as I slowly return the car to stock for wifey.

How much do Koni coils run for the E30? Any deals out there?

Just go with GC with shortened housings and Konis, you'll be glad you spent the extra cash.

                    Are you talking about this?

If so, that's a bit more than I'd like to spend. I wanted to keep it at about $800 or so.

                    Appreciate the info, either way.

                      Yup, that's it.

You can go with that and still have good ride quality. Just save up for the good stuff, you'll be glad you did.

Sport Billies and H&R race with RichardKeith's 15mm drop hats is what I'm running and it's as stiff and low as I'd want to go in a daily driver. Here's a few pictures (mind you I'm still working out spacer details and my rubber is a bit small but it's what was on them when I bought them and it was new)

I totally endorse a full GC coilover setup though. Like you mentioned, it's a bit "pricey" even though for what you're getting, it's amazingly well priced.

Nice ride man - are those Borbets? I love the wide euro look. Used to sport it myself on my 02 GTI 1.8T. It was totally unnecessary and overdone on a FWD car, but I loved it.

I need to get some pics of the 09 GTI

Here's the new (to me) E30...picked it up a few weeks ago. A 1990 325is with only 127k miles and everything works! (for now)

Thanks! The A's are nice. Gets a lot of looks. I wish I'd have snatched up the other two 16x9's for sale here when I bought these but hey, I enjoy the staggered-ness ;)

That Audi was sweeeet. Good lookin' e30. Great start! Paint doesn't look to have faded much if at all which is always nice.

Thanks! yeah the paint is in real nice shape. Doesn't appear to ever have been resprayed from what my body guy told me. The clear is peeling on a few spots but nothing to really worry about for now.

Quick question on your fenders. I noticed they don't have that fold or edge on them that points downward. Was it rolled up to blend in with the curvature of the fender? If so, did the paint crack when you did this? Looks great! I'm def going that route.
