all of this fender rolling/pulling help doesn't mean anything if you don't calculate your offsets correctly. i don't see how every person who posted so far missed that.

the fronts would be 8.5 et 31, rears would be 9 et 25.

Explain please? Are you saying the calculated offset with the lips having been changed is incorrect? The info came directly from the seller.

If so, what does that mean as far as fitment?

All info is appreciated but cryptic statements like this aren't much help without an explanation. Especially since I'm an e30 noob.

      TIA

how is it a cryptic statement? i said someone calculated their offsets wrong and then i gave you the correct offsets. for every 1/2" of lip you add, you subtract 1/4" from the offset.

i started out with the same wheels (16x7 et 50, stock lips are 1/2") but i'm running bigger lips than you're planning on running and they fit fine with only slightly rolled rear fenders, and i'm pretty sure my car is lower than 90% of the cars on this site.

i guess i'm an "e30 noob" too though, i got my first bmw in december

Ok gotcha...thanks for the explanation. Seems I'm in the clear if I can make this deal happen. Hopefully I'll be posting up pics of the new wheels soon :D
