    Best 225/50/15

Time to get some new tires.
Ive been running 225/50/15 hankook rs2's, and i guess they don't make that size any more.

I know that this size is becoming phazed out by many manufacturers what are my best options now?

I want the best handling street tires, comfort and tread ware arent as important to me
    thanks

Toyo RA-1s. Depressingly, that's really about the only decent "street" tire in that size.

Otherwise, you need to suck it up and go 205/50. You can get lots of tires in that size.

Do they not sell those on tire rack?
how do they compare to the yokohama avs es100, or the BFGoodrich G-Force Sport

      Thanks

also ive heard great things about the Z1 star specs that they have in 205/50/15 would it be better to run those in the smaller size,
or be any benefit to run a wider tire thats not quite as good?

ES100 is a terrible tire. G-force sport is a good all season, but if you're looking for a max performance summer tire, there really isn't anything around in this size anymore :(

205 re-11's are faster than 225/45 rs2's and cheaper with the $100 MIR.

any ES100s you see for sale these days have been sitting in a warehouse for a couple years since they stopped production a while back. They weren't that good new, I don't want to know what they're like aged.

Before going 205/50, you might want to take a look at 225/45s.

Do others agree that this tire will perform better than whats available in 225?

also can you get that mir from tire rack?

Are you buying tires for 15x8 K1's that are on your car? I just got a set and am in a similar situation but looking for more track oriented tires. I was thinking BFG g-force sports for cost/benefit but i like those RA-1's too.

I would stick with 225/50 if you can as when you drop to 205/50 it puts you at a tire that is almost 4% smaller than stock.
