im running 205/50's on 16x7.5 and the fronts rub only when turned all the way to the right or left on the inner fender liner. i had 45's up front, and didnt rub at all. so id go with everyone else said. 225/45'sLeave a comment:

16x7.5 with et25 will handle a 225/45/16 tire with no rubbing at all.
Here is proof.

16" BBS Rk's with 225/45-17 Yokohama Es-100's (wish they still made these tires)
I forget the ET on these, ill have to look. Its a set of rims from an E36 though
fits fine, does rub on big bumps only on the right rear, maybe i need to roll a bit more on that side. also with the 5 lug swap and E36 steering rack I have the fronts rub a tad on full lock, but that will be solved with some rack stops. I guess the e36 racks have more travel than the e30 ones. but its a quicker steering feel, i like it

225/45's on Schnitzer type I's which are et25 w/no issues.
