    Got myself some Hartges

I bought a set of Hartges about two months ago and had the outer lips polished and the centres resprayed black. Finally got them back today 8)

Some of you might not like the black centres, but I think my car needs them to break up the colour a little... my old 16" Alpina replicas looked a little boring imho.

They're 16x7 ET25 two piece rims, made by Hartge Japan (they're stamped 'HARTGE JAPAN' on the back). Bit bummed they're only two piece cos it means I can't widen them easily, but whatever.

    So yeah, here's some pics:

    Quick trial fit:

I'll post some more pics in the member's rides area when I've got them mounted.

I also picked up this Mtech2 replica bumper cover:

The rest of my kit is genuine, but I couldn't find a genuine bumper so bought this one instead. Hopefully the fit will look decent.

Those are really sweet wheels. You're right about the black centers though, I don't really like it. Something like an anthracite or nagaro silver would look better.

the wheels look fucking awesome, get some pics of them on your car already!

as for the bumper covers, that's something I've considered on my car. eurostyle is just across the border from me and all I'd want is the bumpers anyway, not the valance or the sides. I'm sure it will look fine.

What a difference the polishing made. The wheels look great!

                        thanks for the comments guys!

Just noticed someting a little odd today... they're actually three piece wheels that have been completely welded up. So they're effectively one piece wheels with decorative bolts. Dunno why anyone would want to weld them up, but whatever, they still look hot and only cost US$900 8)

Later down the track, I might investigate machining off the weld at the outer lip and bolting up something with an extra 1-1.5" of dish...

Good news for me.....my 5 lug swap parts just arrived this morning from California....so now I just have to clean everything up, rebuild the calipers, get new pads (possibly new rotors) and I can finally mount my Hartges.......and have some decent braking ;)

I guess you have to be addicted to a color to spell it. I want a diamantschwarz e30 with nogaro weaves. ;)

Those are freakishly hot rims, mount with tires!
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.
