    http://www.shutupwomangetonmyhorse.com/

j/k! but for real, I picked up these sad sad BBS RS's... how could anybody let them get like this!

Seeing if there was actually metal behind that dirt

did some more scrubbing, thank you Mr Toothbrush for giving your life today!

Any ideas how to get this really caked on dust off?

    caps are corroded :(

the backside looked like death as well

but look a little better now

This was after about an hour, and my fingers hurt too much to continue! Low dust pads are in my future!

    with the cap on

and one final one with his brother...

Holy brake dust. That leftover shit is probably corroded into the finish, good luck getting it off.

Man that's nasty. I know some detail places use acid (muriatic I think?) to clean wheels. Might Google it and see what you can find.

You're going to likely have to sand then polish to get that off...looks pitted into the wheel slightly. I wouldn't use any acid unless you are DAMN good and sure of the mix ratio with water and you rinse the CRAP out of it after... sand/polish...best bet...you could blast em if you have access to the equipment.

Yep, I would say pull those suckers apart, and refinish them. A light/polish should get rid of all that, and just sand/repaint the centers.

I bet who ever you bought them from figured that they were ruined.

Nice work so far. They look so much better!

Be careful of this as it can/will strip any clear coat that might be on them or tarnish the aluminum badly.

This. Be careful with breathing it in though!

I had a pair of weaves with 3 years of constant use, no cleaning, and it only took 90 mins to get them back to as new with oven cleaner and a stiff tooth brush.
