    ESM-012SL 17" Wheels with 215/45/17s on '90 325is

Well, they're finally on. After weeks of researching a replacement for my original 14" basket-weaves, I stayed "Old-Skool" with a with a 1.5" mirrored lip. I waited 2-months for this car to come in to BMW dealer back in 1989 and picked it up on from their customer delivery spot on October 31st. After 245,000 miles it's still drives like off the showroom floor. Just waiting for the 2" roundel emblems to come in for the hub-caps!

Thanks for the great wheels. I'm quite happy with the overall look. I literally lost sleep over going with 17" wheels vs. the more generally accepted 15s. I just couldn't wrap my mind around getting a 17 to work on E30 body styling, but I think your wheels pulled it off. Thanks again for a superb set of wheels!

                          Wow I love your car

I've been waiting to see these wheels mounted on an e30, and they look perfect on your car.
Post more pictures when you get the roundels for the centers

if these were available in 16s i'd be all over it

Thanks for the great comments! I too felt that 16" wheel was the sweet spot for the E30. The only 16" basket-weave wheels I could find that would fit (lug pattern, ET, bore) were the 3-piece type wheels. ESM-002 and of course BBS RS (at the high-end/cost). I'm just not crazy about the perimeter bolts on the 3-piece style wheel. I like the spokes going all the way to the outer part of the wheel. I'm also not loving the crazy sized mirrored lip on the 3-piece wheels. I bit too much mirror for my taste!

I think these 17s find a way to pull if off. And I feel it beats the hell out of the Beyern Mesh 4 alternative! When the roundels come in, this coming week, I will post a final set of pics!

Same, I do not like them at all. Maybe if they were darker, and the car was lower.
