Same lug pattern, different centrebore & very high offset (ET40'ish)....I'm pretty sure the Miata centrebore is larger so a centering ring can be used and some 15-20mm spacers should get you going....perhaps a stud conversion too.
We have some 15" Enkei RPF-1 rims on our Miata and they only weigh 9lbs each  It's the same looking rim that the McLaren F1 team uses. The stock wheels are also light, appx 11lbs for their 14" from the Mk1.
I was looking at 16" Kosei K1's in Miata fitment for my E30 on TireRack. They would need a 10mm spacer, but overall that was it as far as mounting them.
josh, there are 16x7.5" K1s that will fit without any spacer. Tirerack has blanks with the proper offset, they just drill for your bolt pattern and center bore.

Same bolt pattern - 4 x 100.
Stock Miata offset is et38 - et40.
Problem is the centerbore. Miata is the smallest of any mass-produced car @ 54.1mm. The MR2 centerbore is the same as well. So, you will have to get someone to machine out a Miata/MR2 wheel to 57.1mm (about $40/wheel last time I checked) if you want to use it on the e30, and then you will have to use a spacer to get it back to the et25 range.
Bottom line is it can be done, but you are usually better $$$ wise to just get a proper offset and centerbore for the e30.
