Looking for some new wheels for track days

I am looking for some new wheels for my e30 to run for autox and HPDE. I am in the market for 16 inch wheels that will hold 245s all around. I have looked at diamond racing wheels and other than that I haven't found anything of much interest other than some 3 piece panasports which are quite expensive.
    Anyone have any ideas?

You can get them at tirerack, but i think you'll have to call them.

    or

CCW wheels. Very reasonably priced for totally custom,3-piece forged wheels, very light and they look damn good too. And you can get 16x16's if you want.

So 16x8s will be fine with 245s? If so I may just go with the diamond racing wheels.

        The 16x8.5 cost $209 a wheel, the 15x8 cost $199 a wheel.

My other question is what offset should I get to avoid rubbing on the struts? My car will have konis with GC all around. The fenders are also rolled way out so they shouldn't be a problem.

I would love to get those. But suspension first, then wheels.

et15 would be a safe bet, but you could run et20 all around and then add spacers up front to clear the struts. The rears can handle higher offset IIRC.

So what does "very light" mean?

Also with ET15 on 9" wide rim the front will rub on the strut, with 1/4" spacer and 245/45/16 Hoosiers the tire will rub on the strut.

Well, they are "very light" for a strong, 3-piece rim, from what I've gathered. They don't list weights on their site, but I have found a few examples over on bimmerforums, as a bunch of the track/auto-x junkies run them.

18x10s, 19lbs <--- Pretty damn light if you ask me.

                    Here's another thread. This guy's 17x9s were 16lbs apparently.

Not sure where that would put a 16x8, but I would guess that it would be around the 15lb mark.

Sure SSR Comps are lighter, but I've heard complaints that they bend easily. Plus, they aren't available in a 16x8, 4x100.
EDIT: Actually, at least in 18x10s, the CCWs are lighter. According to tirerack, 18x10 SSR Comps are 19.9lbs.

I am looking at running 245/45/16s so should I go with the 8 inch rim?

245s will fit well on an 8" rim.

Sounds good. I am looking at the steelies on diamondracingwheels.com. They only offer wheels in backspacing instead of the mm offset i am used to. What backspace would be good for my setup?

Nobody's gonna know off hand. Just use a ruler, long straight edge (enough to go up to where the wheel would contact the strut) and a little logic.

                              check this out
The 15x7 ET27 Kosei's in my picture for instance have exactly 5-1/16th" of backspace, which is a teensy bit too much when using a 225/50-15. A better backspace would be exactly 5" even, because as it is my Left Rear inner sidewall sometimes rubs in extremely hard cornering, but otherwise don't touch.
