    balancing wheels....again?

I just got some spacers for my front wheels which were perfectly balanced but now it seems they are out of whack a bit since I get vibrations @ 50-60mph range. I was wondering how they need to be balanced. Does the spacer and wheel get balanced together or do my wheels need another balancing?

On another note, my wheels were et20 before and now that they have 15mm spacers, what is the final offset?

Your et now will be +5mm. The wheel should not be balanced with the spacer. Try balancing the wheel again maybe?

Final offset is et5. As far as the vibration goes, I would check to make sure lugs are evenly torqued to the correct tension and mounting surfaces are clean. Are you running hubrings/hubcentric?

nope they wheels are e30 specific, so are the spacers, so i guess they are hubcentric

How in the hell would you balance a wheel WITH a spacer?

              jees Janderson, now I know.

you could actually mount the spacer and the wheel to the balancer and do it that way could you not?

Does the spacer fit snugly around the E30 hub? Does the hub lip ON the spacer fit perfectly in to the wheel? If there is any gap in either of these your problem is explained.

one of the spacers was actually a tight fit, the other was good. Im going to ask Castro if he had any trouble when he installed it

This sounds like a poor fit of the spacer to the centering ring on the hub or a poor fit between the centering ring on the spacer and the wheel. Hubcentric clearances must be a close sliding fit or there'll be problems with vibration.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I had this problem with my 10mm H&R spacers on my enkies and bottlecaps, hubcentric. Next time I see studs and non hubcentric sacers in my life, much less hassle.
