    Correct tire size for Alpina

What was the correct size for the 16x7 Alpina wheels when they came from the factory?

Usually 16" Alpina's came 16X7 front (ET 11 offset), 16X8 rear (ET 24 offset). I'm talking the old school open face Alpina's for the E3/E9/E12/E23/E24/E28 crowd. Tires for the 16X7 were 205/55-16 and 16X8 were 225/50-16 for the M30 owners.

I sold my 14X7 5 lug Alpina's that I had on my 70 E3. This tire size requires a 225/60-14 and that tire size is going the way of the dinosaur. I scored a set of old school 15" 5x120 old school BBS that I'm going to run on my E3, much better tire choices in 15"
