Alpina's

I am looking at a perfect set of staggard 16" Alpina's that are in minty mint shape but are exspensive or I could go with a set of the 17" Kopies. Any thoughts? on the two choices 8)

I though about doing the same thing myself a couple years back. I guess that first you have to see what your budget is. Then, make a decision of whether you want 16in wheels or 17's on your car. Take it from there.

Now if you want 16's, and like the Alpina's, or even want to turn your E30 into an Alpina replica, then obviously go with the original 16's. If you can't afford the original ones, the Kopi's do look nice, but they will be much heavier. I've also heard that the Alpinas are very strong, I don't know about the Kopi's.

we'll I must say I am not going to make my car an Alpina replica ..but I think the 16's look right on the car

Very nice indeed! If you like the jet turbine look of the Alpina's, and feel that 16's is for you, save up and screw the Kopi's! I think that the Kopi's should be if you need that ultra tight 17 inch handling trait, that an ultra low profile like a 40 series or even 35 will offer on the track.

I like the Alipina's. Just a bitch to clean!

I know of people here in Canada, having ordered these brand new for $2000-$2400CDN from various sources, other than the US. PM or email me if you want those sources.

As far as used is concerned, I'd pay about 50% less than the quoted above prices.
