With an offset of Et48, is there any way to fit Mini wheels on an E30? I am kinda in the dark on the whole offset fitment thing. I am sure there must be an issue with it fitting or someone would have already done this.

Hub bore is different, along with needing fatty spacers.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

basically wouldnt you just need completely custom spacers? 20mm wide and with a hubcentric bore on one side and a collar that fits the inside bore of the rim on the other?
(excuse me if im using the wrong terminology)

it'll be functional provided the spacers are done properly...Originally posted by RCWellsBut would it be functional, and most importantly, safe?BMWClub Malaysia

You could also get spacers that have a smaller hub lip on the outside. Trent has something lip this, except the outter lip is bigger so he doesn't need hubcentering rings.Originally posted by MystikalMini-specific wheels (including the Hamann ones) have a centrebore that is smaller than the E30's. Because of this, they simply won't mount on an E30.
You could get them machined out, but I don't love any wheel made only for the Mini that much.
That said, with ET48, you are going to need some huge ass spacers. For looks, 30mm would be ideal, but they don't even make any that big. You could use 25mm.Comment

Take the wheels to a machine shop and have them bore the centers out, then use regular 25mm spacers.91 m3Comment

Trent's custom spacers cost less than a set of H&R's.Originally posted by MystikalSee, once I get into custom-made spacers and machining brand new wheels, I start thinking 5-lug. If I'm going to go through trouble and spend money, might as well get better brakes and leave the door open to even more wheels in the long run.Comment

I agree with you to an extent. I can't agree fully since I just bought spacers/studs/hubcentric rings for my new rims, but I see your point. But With the cost and the hassle of a 5 lug conversion, it just isn't for everybody.Originally posted by MystikalFair enough; I still don't like the idea of spending money on spacers/studs/machining when it could have gone to something that actually improves car performance and also accomplishes my goal of mounting "different" wheels on an E30.Comment

^ If you're desperate to use mini wheels, the centerbore needs to be bored out 0.9mm (or maybe 1mm at the most, I forget if the mini wheels are 56.1 or 56.2 centerbore.) Then buy an e30 specific 25mm spacer and you're done.Originally posted by 325ProjectzTake the wheels to a machine shop and have them bore the centers out, then use regular 25mm spacers.
By the way...
This must be the 3rd time I'm answering this question on r3v alone..
