haha! you're never going to fit a wide tire on a negative offset rear wheel. you're going to be stuck with a 195 at best along with all the other kraut mobiles.

you can do a 235 or a 245 with more work but it's going to require a narrower rim and a much higher offset. both of those cars you posted probably have 195s or narrower..

Haha no. I have 15x10 +0 and run a 195/50 with -4.5 degrees of camber, granted that's on unpulled fenders but still. I mean you could make it work but it would require quite a bit of work if you want it to look good.

To the OP don't let any of this talk discourage you though, because it can be done, you just need some more time and money. For example, that Felgen-Garage E30 on the previous page is running, IIRC, a 16x11 +10 or something like that in the rear with a 245. So with a good amount of fender work your setup can also fit.

              thanks for the kind words!!

the truth is I bought the wheels to go on my car no matter what, so I will make them work.
I will be dding the car around 350rwhp which is a little better.
This is the only set of wheels I have ever paid a lot for and plan to make the best of them...

it is going to be dictated by a few things. if you know what type of tyre you want i would get that first. Secondly you would want to get your suspension in and get your camber set as you would like it. From there you can basically do what needs to be done to your fenders to get it to fit.

Most fitment-only guys will roll the fenders as flat as they can first, then fit the narrowest tyre they're willing to run with, then wind in as much camber as they are willing to run with, then look at further guards mods last.

Whereas people who have a goal for power to the ground are generally limited in tyre selection and camber, so for them it is more about guard flaring etc to suit. It can all be done, it just gets more expensive. i.e. it will look crap if you pull the guard and then flare it too much.
What needs to be done is the guard cut every say 3/4" and then flared out, then filled in between with more metal or fibreglass or whatever the case may be. This then gets you both extra width/flare, as well as extra metal to look right otherwise as you flare the metal kind of moves upward and outward and loses some shape.

you realize by not saying that the wheels are 5 lugs changes absolultey everything said in this thread?

5 lug offset is way wacky if you do anything but a e30m3 five lug swap... like your wheel is going to stick out another 20mm

sounds to me like you should have planned to make the best of a set of wheels and then spent a lot of money, not vice versa.

wishful thinking is only gonna get you so far in this case.

or if im going to put the wheels on an m3.... Im pretty sure that would work out fine also ;) My original plan before I started working on getting the m3 was to fill and drill the wheels though..

                              cool.

so instead of your wheels sticking out 2 inches farther than they should, they'll only stick out an inch and a half too far.

I promise these wheels will fit. It might cost me some loot but they will be on my car. Then I will make a thread with my wheel, tire, camber, and specs of anything else I had to do. I will also post some pictures so my car can be your new back ground.
