I will be doing a 5 lug swap on my '90 325is so i will have more wheel options cause 4x100 sucks. I want to go BALLS DEEP and put on m roadster wheels they are 17x7.5 et41 and 17x9 et9. i know i will have to roll the fenders but will i have to pull, cut anything etc?
will it fit?

will it fit?

I'm about to install a set of style 5's that are 17x8 and 17x9 et20. I know they'll fit for sure, maybe a little fender rolling needed. Not sure with the et9 tho... -

i have ti rear arms and im running a 16x7 et11 and I rub on a slightly rolled rear fender...
e30 m3 stuff might sit ina bit farther and might be your only option... its going to be hard to run 9's et 9 out back...Comment

how much bigger are e30 m3 wheels wells? cause they run 9s on the rear all the time. so i should get e30 m3 trailing arms and roll the fuck out of my fenders and then just cross my fingers?Comment

My friend is going to be running 15x9 et0 on his. This is gonna be tricky. We are having to roll the fenders(and some pulling) a lot. Not as much as we originally thought. Once it was measured, it wasnt that bad. Just a little bit of poke. Also is going to depend what size tyres you put on.... also think about spacers up front. et41!? yeah. Let us know how it all goes.sigpic

yes e30 m3's run 9's but they do not run 9's with such a low offset...
your wheels are 2 inches wider then mine and your offset is smaller by 2MM so your wheel will actually stick 2in's and 2mm farther then mine... which is 52MM and I rub now.
Im not sure how far out the m3 Trailing arms sit but they are your only option. TI one (what i am running) and m coupe ones will set your wheel more then 2 inches outside the wheel well...
look around for the width difference of an m3 setup compared to a TI set up and then you will have your answer. If the M3 setup is more then 2 inches narrower then the TI setup then you are golden as far as the outside and the inside should be no problem considering therer are guys running 10's on normal e30'sComment

17x9 all around and it doesnt look like shit?

you are missing the point... the offset of the wheels in that picture are completely different then what you are working with...Comment
-
you're correct that 9 et9 won't fit with an e36 5-lug swap.
your math is off though, the wheels will stick out 27mm further.Comment

Look at aptyps' writeup on the 5 lug swap. He shows what trailing arms work and what dont.
I believe that the e30 M3 arms are the same as 4 lug arms, simply with different bearings/hubs.
The z3 arms are all the same width (i think) but the //M version has hubs and brakes that dont protrude out as far, hence the crazy offset rimsComment
