    JOM performance review?

hey guys i was thinking about buying those JOM coilovers that people raved about. i read the reviews, but i was wondering how they performed on the track? does anybody have a sweet link to a track review of them, or are these more so for looks? i'd like to track and possibly drift my 325, so i don't want a ton of body roll (or just shitty handling in general). thanks!

They cost $400 for springs/shocks. I highly doubt the quality is there.. They look like a setup for people who's only concern is how low their car is. Get something tried and true if you are building a track car.

I've been doing research about these an there are a few points which I can conclude from:
        1. The most talked about thing regarding these springs, you get what you pay for. You can't get custom rates and this means each car will ride differently.
        2. Despite the fact that these are dirt cheap, there isn't as much negative feedback as you'd expect, mostly people just bashing them because of the prices, those who haven't rode them and those who have and say they are what they expected, and an ok setup.
        3. There are other options out there and depending on what your motives are (Track, DD, garage queen) then you should be ready to have this setup shit the bed in anywhere from a week to a few years. These haven't been tested long time and only a few things are for sure. One of them being these are not meant for track.

        Hope this helps.

Search. this has been discussed a few thousand times.

If you want cheap(taiwan made) coilovers- BC racing or ksport are your best options with damping ability.

If you want quality- TCKline, Ground Control, or H&R.

              Baller Status- AST, Moton, etc.

I love you r3v. Everything is conjecture here.

Someone find me shock dyno results of the JOM shocks and I'll tell you how they perform. Springs are springs. Only diff is that some manufacturers have low QC and what they say is 5k might be 5.3k.

To reiterate, someone seriously find/make shock dyno sheets of these shocks.

                  Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

Mine have held up pretty well so far. No problems to report with them, at least not on my behalf.

there no race spring, too soft for that, but for crusing low, these are great.

                          this^^

i like mine for dd... would not be my choice for track tho

any stiffer and you'd lose everyday drivability/streetablilty. imo

That could mean anything from "they are great and the price is a steal" to "they are pieces of shit but they are cheap so I got what I expected".

Sounds like someone did a psyc or consumer behavior course.

I'm not sure if I am going to get these or not yet. I was researching a bit more and found a company down under who makes custom coil overs for around 1k shipped worldwide, actually I think 810 AUD plus you can get custom dampening and camber plates for extra. Shipping is 100 AUD world wide.
