Well today we assembled the rims. I still have one more application of Silicone around the bead after the first application dries in about 24 hours. Here are the 4x100 7.5X17 rims.

While I was there I picked up this staggered set of 5X120 7.5/8.5X17 for the M3.

Sorry for the poor picture quality but it has been a long day. Once I save some money or sell my other wheels I will get the tires. I will take more pictures of the rims/tires on the cars in a few weeks.

    Cheers,

    Jim

16's are very rare and are not the same centers as the 17" wheels. I have only seen pictures of the 16" wheels. Good luck with your search.

    Jim

Very nice wheels, can't wait to see them done.

Are centers interchangable between rims sizes, and if so, 16's available?

The nuts and bolts are also back from the chrome shop and are looking god. I had the SS valve stems polished but they did not come out as good as we had hoped so they are going to the chrome shop for a little plating.

I will let the paint cure for a few weeks to a month before assembly then mounting the tires which are on back order but hopefully will be shipped soon.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Thanks for your comments, we will be assembling the rims in a couple of weeks once the valve stem caps are back from the chrome shop. There was also some minor issues with the wheel caps so they went back to the painter for a second round.

I had a couple of friends come by today. Frank has a set of staggered Hartge 3 piece 4x100's on his Hartge theme Baur car. These were bought brand new back in the day for $2900. Their condition is amazing and they still look new.
