I was told I would have to run 20mm spacers up front. Is that true? If so could someone explain to me why?
Depending on if the spokes have caliper clearance or not, the fronts might juust bolt on with nothing. It would be hairs to spare if so. The reason I say that is I've seen a cast 16x9 et15 fit with no spacers. Your fronts would fit 2.5mm closet to the strut, but since you have forged lips they'll be thinner and might still clear.

Most likely though, you'll need a 3-5mm minimum to clear the strut, possibly more to clear the brake calipers. Rears will bolt right on.

You definitely won't need a 20mm unless there is no back pad at all.
