    Style 5 fitment general Q's

Hey guys, I'm picking up some style fives tomorrow and I was wondering what your opinions would be as far as fitment. I know I can get them drilled and filled, I've also seen spacers/adapters on here. I dont know if there is that much of a difference. Speaking of which, I need spacers to clear the calipers right? 10mm I believe? Anyone out there whose run these knows what I should be using to get a nice flush fitment?

And what size tires? I'm a total noob when it comes to that topic so I was hoping you guys could lend me a hand

    Appreciate it

Think your only option for style 5's if your your 4x100 is fill and drill. The offset of style 5's is like et20 and you wouldn't be able to run adapters.

Hmmm, I could have sworn someone was running them with adapters… Oh well kinda figured I'd go that way anyway. What should I be looking for in the way of spacers/lugs

Adapters would put you shy of "sportmaxx" fitment.
Look up 16x8 sportmaxx pics with an offset of 0.
        Limited tire selection

Fill and drill requires a front 10mm spacer to clear brakes

Style5 Verson 2 (With Lip) from 7 Series has an offest of ET23.
If you run, lets say 20mm adapters, your final offset will be ET3.
Now you are facing another problem, which tires to use?
In this case, you will be left with something like 195/40/16 or 205/40/16.
You will need to roll fenders and quarter panels and pull them before rolling.

If you want to re drill, you may run 8mm spacer. Your final offset will be between ET16. Now you can run 205/50/16 or bigger tire with rolled fenders/quarter panels.

So no way to get these on without rolling the fenders? I figured being only 16s that wouldn't be a big problem. I don't have access to the tools to do that where I'm living now

there are people on here running adapters with style 5 RC090 from a 5 series and they look on point. very flush, very nice, i believe schwarz3 has them. look him up. his car is dope. not much modification to fenders. if any... i am actually going to run that same setup and it is going to be awesome... i love style 5s.

Those look different from the ones I'm picking up. The ones I'm getting are off of an e38

oh ya, the e38 style 5s are also able to be run with adapters. there are definitely people on here running them like that. it is about $300plus for adapters and then the price of the wheels. if you get a good deal on the rims i would say do it.. check the members rides area for pics of members with them... you will love the look. i promise... rolling of fenders is the only thing needed if you are ok with running slightly stretched tires. if you want meat on them, then you might need to pull them and then roll... good luck..

Well there is a place here in SD willing to do a drill and fill for $120 for all four wheels… I don't know much about it but that seems like cheap and I don't want a half assed job on my wheels… But I imagine that plus spacers and lugs would still be less than the $300… I think

You can run them with adapters. Its just a really aggressive fitment. I will be putting 17X8 style 5s on my vert this winter.

well then it is a done deal. the point is to get a great deal on a nice set of wheels. sounds like that shop is gonna do it for cheap. make sure to get some quality spacers so it doesn't vibrate...and you are good to go sir...

                          haha

have fun, be safe and good luck

Haha well I just hope it isn't the equivalent of a macco paint job… Except you know they put holes in my wheels haha

i know what you mean, i am sure it is fine, maybe you could ask for some pictures of their work, or examples or such. fill and drill is much better than just drill to begin with...
