    Tire combo question

I just picked up a set of rims 16x8 XXR513. I want to know can I run 225/60R/16 on the back and 195/50/16 on the front with no issues?
I have a 1987 325IC with stock suspension. I check the tire question section I saw that a intel-guy stated that no 16x8 w/o fender rolling however I also saw that e30 verts do not need fender rolling. So what's the deal? Thanks

Front tire size too small and the rear size WAY to big.

hes right. 195 on 8" rims would be super stretched. I had 225/50 with my 16x8 on my stock suspension and I had to roll the fenders. Still had rubbing when i had my large friend in the car.

225/45 you don't need to worry about the fenders because you will have at least a 4 inch gap between them and the tires.

So 225/50 would be to big? I ask because I can find 50 but 45 that's a mission.

225/50 in the back. depending on the offset of the wheels in front, 205/50/16 would be safe. or 205/50 all around.

offset matters too bro, what are they? I have ET0 x8 wheels and they're not going to fit under factory fenders.

time to get a baseball bat.

edit: I should say, you should be okay if you are not that low. mine have 205/50 and they stick out from the fenders a good 10mm. FWIW, this is a coupe, but still, I doubt that even with 'vert' fenders (whatever that entails) you would be able to clear those wheels. They'll poke.

Agreed, I have tons of room running (4) 225/40/16's

without some suspension its not going to look very good... stock already look like 4x4's... with small side wall its not very appealing unless your low. just my 2cents.

I agree the plan is to lower it, but I won't do that until I see a good deal.

If you want to keep the correct overall diameter you should run a 205/50 or 225/45.

Like matt said, stick with a stock overall diameter. You don't need a 225/anything in the rear. Your stock vert isn't going to have traction issues with a 205. Besides, the extra 20mm of tread isn't anything to be excited about.
