wide and sticky ones. Oh, they also need to be round and hold air.

Mine are triangular. Could this be the reason my car shakes when moving?

So I'm on tire rack and the only tire they said would fit is 205/50r16..first of what does that mean? And second what should I look for with that. I'm a bit of a noob if no ones noticed.

Search by tire size, not wheel size.. Meaning find out what size you can fit on your 15x8. And find out by searching. It's a very popular wheel.

If you want something decently meaty you want a 225/50/15 tire.

205 = width of the tire
50 = height of the tire
16 = wheel size the tire fits

That has all the info you need to know about tire sizing.

225/45/15 Hankook RS-3 (a little undersized but whatever) are very good. Also Dunlop Star Specs and Falken Azenis

I have 225/45 RS3s on my TRMs. Not the best pic but you can tell they are pretty beefy.

How long do you want these tires to last?

For real performance tires you are going to want to use a 205/50 or a 225/45. The grippiest you can get and also the fastest wearing tire is the 225/45 Hankook RS3. Pretty wide for an E30 and tons of grip.

A step down in grip from that but will last a bit longer is the Bridgestone RE-11 and Dunlop Z1 Star Spec, as well as the Yokohama AD08 and Kumho XS. All of these would be in 205/50.

If you want something less grippy, all-season and meaty, try out the 225/50 G-Force Sports. Big sidewall, pretty wide, will look a little bubbly but still very meaty, and it's a 300 treadwear so it'll last a lot longer. From there you can go to harder compounds that will last longer but give you less grip.

These tires are listed in the order of my personal preference, for what it's worth.
