14" are too small for darker centers. all you'll notice are the giant sidewalls of a 195/65-14 all-season (since high performance tires almost don't exist in that size anymore). :(
stock weaves are too small to pull of anything multi-colored.
oem silver or oem gold on some cars.
I don't know about that. The Enkei 92s look fantastic with the spokes painted gold, and the lips polished out. I'd like a set of 92s to add to my already too large collection of race wheels for the Datsun. (Panasports, Hayashi Command 500s, American Racing Libres so far.) I've seen Alfa's run the Enkeis in gold with polished lips and again they look great.
I would stay away from black. Black wheels don't show brake dust, but they also tend to disappear under the car in photographs. Silver however shows great.
