Theyre the same wheels from the condor speed shop GRM challenge e30.

Turning was never an issue with no power steering,
but both cars are no heavier than 2000 so that may make it easier.
Very cool, my car is almost 500lbs heavier than yours, and with two drivers I think there is more chance of getting the heat into the tires. I'll deff. measure and report back when time comes.

Nobody cares about that crap ^,,,, look at the narrow tires on there.. The point of this topic is to run WIDE TIRES on the 10" wide wheel not 225 on a 10" when an 8" will do the same.[/quote]

Take it easy cowboy remember its a free country people have the right to express their own opinion how they choose to in a possitive way without having to feel harassed... What's the point of this forum??

        That would be interesting!
My friend is having problems with uneven tire wear, even after camber plates, still cant figure it out.
Need to invest in one of those tire temp guages!

vwvortex.com is THAT way :) j/k i could really care less, just my own beef was when people don't specify what they want or ask and just post links to a picture of some stanced out car. What is the point of that, you know.

I like the arguments... very interesting. I think the e30 is a very aggressive looking car. with fat tires it looks like some kind of monster.

If i find some rims, ill get them. just cause. But, god knows i got other shit to keep me busy. haha. thx everyone

              Ok, here, in a nutshell why you shouldn't do it. Take it as you will;

              1. Your car will be slower.
              2. Your mpg will be worse.
              3. You won't be able to be very low without cutting your fenders to bits.
              4. It will look bad.

who cares about mpg's, really? I think the car will be much faster off the start with about 20% more grip. cutting the fenders is a given. In conclusion, can you send me some pictures of those bad looking e30s with 10" wide wheels? cuz id like to see them

what? i doubt it! on a prepped track on 7" wide wheels with 205/45's on my m50 vert i couldn't even get them to spin and i was dumping it at 3400 down the 1/4! didn't even chirp 2nd!

so no, probably won't be faster....

but hey, if you wana be a fag, by all means

Exactly. You think. You don't KNOW anything. The only reason you should possibly be running 10" wide wheels with chunky tires is if you are tracking it, or auto crossing. Theres no point. 10" wheels on a stock body e30 is useless as a street only car. And here some pictures

                      look, how neat.

I was spinning 245 t1r's half way through 2nd at the track, though not a drag strip which makes a big difference. Honestly, without major fender cutting and flairs you will never fit a proper width tire on a 10" wheel.

I could spin 30 treadwear tires in 2nd with a simple m30.... fwiw.

My m10 could spin 205 rt615s like it was nobody's business.
