I really like my T1r's, for a 280 wear rating they handle excellent, and after a season and a half are still left with decent tread. Great on the street to, not noisy at all.

Jay, do you recommend any of the cheaper Hankooks?

How about the Fuzion ZRi? They're on sale at Tire Rack.

I also have had the 512 tires and liked them but I agree they wear way too fast.

I placed third in an auto-x championship on 512s once. Their only downsides are a softish sidewall (which evidently doesn't hurt performance much, just feel) and they wear quickly for what they are. I'd recommend them.

502s are really dated, and 3000s offer decent performance but are LOUD and run very wide (can be good or bad depending on your fitment).

ive used both the 512 and the n3000. N3000 has more grip, but the road noise is louder. I like both though.

    Which reasonably priced tire?

Going to buy some tires for the Hartge wheels soon and looking for something decent but affordable. I personally am not a fan of the super sticky tires that only last 6 months so please rule those suggestions out, this is not a track car!

The size in question will be 205/50/16.

Here's the tires I was considering:
    Falken ZE502
    Falken ZE512
    Nexen N3000

Anything else in that price range to consider? Are any of the cheaper Hankook tires any good?
