    Widest tires for E30?

    Hi all,
What are the widest tires that can fit a normal E30 without any interventions on the flares?
Is it possible to fit 235/../17 front and 255/../17 rear? What wheels would they need, J and ET?
    Thanks!

I have 235/40/27 all around on one of my cars. I would say 235 is about max for the front but I've seen a couple people do 255 rear. This is assuming you roll your fenders nicely all around.

Pretty sure 225/50/15s work on stock fenders.

255s are max for the rear. 225 is the widest I've fit on the front

              Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

I've run 245s all the way around but you have to have the fronts on full camber (camber plates).

I'm running 225-45-17 all the way around without rolling my fenders and I'm gonna try for 235-40-17 with my next set of tires.

235-245 should really be no problem, on all 4 corners - assuming proper suspension setup and fender lip rolling, along with careful choices of offsets and wheel widths.

basically, if you want to be scraping the ground in a dumped car, 10" wide rims poking out with a negative offset - you aren't going to be able to fit wide rubber, unless you think a 205 is wide.

235s on all 4, and they're R-dots - a comparable street tire would be narrower. a 245 street tire would be about the same width (aspect ratio will complicate things of course).

235's are very possible all around, I have 225/50/15 right now and they fit fine with a bunch more room left.
