What should I expect with 225/50 Ziex tires? Would someone enlighten me as to how stanken offset operates

I'm pretty sure the tires would rub on the strut.

    Might need a 5mm spacer

No way, he'd rub his fenders with 225's and ET18.

3mm spacers on the front, worst case scenario. You can use the stock lugs for those, the spacers themselves shouldn't cost more than $20.

But honestly try it first. You just might make it.

On ET35 16x7.5" wheels with 225/45's and 8mm spacers (so a collective ET27 offset) I had maybe 1.5-2mm clearence to the struts. At full lock I'd rub the plastic inner fender, but they technically fit.

Like stated above, something between 3-5mm would probably be perfect for you.

I doubt it. My 15x7's are et17 and no rubbing with 225's

              -2.5 degrees camber helps

Also just so you guys know, the ZE-512's he has run narrow, much narrower than BFGs or Toyos.

Anyone care to explain how offset and fitment coalesce?

this should help clarify it for you. play around w/ it for a little while and you'll get the idea.

It probably wont rub - there is approximately 5-6mm of clearance between the rim and strut for that offset and rim width. The tread width on those tires is 7.7" (compared to the 7.4" I'm currently running and only part of the rim protector on the tire sticks past the wheel).

Yes, it'll be tight, but I'm almost positive it wont rub on the strut.
