and 6 of the are DOT street r comps. Leaving the lowly Kumho estca ast? this is tire rack but come on in this age of save gas and so forth there is nobody making real street tires that normal sized?

Rather have the Kumho's. That tire is so old it makes the ES100's look new.

honestly, the Toyo R888s probably have more treadlife than an ES100, while having 10x more grip. more expensive, of course.

another decent tire would be the BFG Gforce sport, which I'm sure is in your count already. Yeah, not much left in 15" sizes - someday 17" will be the minimum for decent street tires. 14" is even worse...

The BFG's are being revamped, I'm not sure of size availability yet.

OK, just looked at TR. The g-Force Sport COMP-2 (new ones) are only available in 2 15" sizes, 195 50 and 195 55. So that sucks. The old ones are on closeout, and they don't have any more 225 50's.

Yeh I noticed this as well partly the reason I will not be going lower then 16" from now on.

Truly bites as I'm trying to go back to lighter rotational mass wheels. Running 15" on my Ti and on one E30.

What bout the Falken Ziex ze-912? Those are readily available. Yea seems like theres only 2 road tires at that size, the ziex 912, and the 512 if you can find them, and the Kumhos.
You can go to 225/45/15 with the Hankooks.

But yea im about to drop the hammer on the TRM C1's and realized this same predicament. Not many choices at all. But what are the choices in 16 out there? Not much, and nothing new.

I'm in kinda the same boat- i've been intending to get a set of the 15" d-force wheels for temporary dual duty, and eventual track only use. I was intending to get the G-forces..but damn.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.

well actually those are 15x7, and accept ideally a 205/50/15 (or would it be 205/55?) tire, and there is a plethora of choices for that size.

the thing is, they are the same price, or sometimes even $5-10 more than the 15x8 C1's, whereas with a 15x8 you open up a door to much much wider tires, albeit mostly track specific ones.

205/55 is stock diameter. 205/50 is undersized.

if you want a 225/50, there's very few choices. there were some of the older Gforce Sports in stock at a few other online vendors. to be honest, I never find the Tirerack's selection to be all that great.

225 is a bit wide on a 15x7 imo, it's hurting my front fenders

205 aint gonna cut it with an upgraded S50 swap.

I may just skip it and just get the arc8's...
