75mm studs w/euroweaves

    75mm studs w/euroweaves

    Does anyone know if 75mm studs will fit with the euroweave with center cap on or are they way too long?

    I was told the only difference between the 57mm and the 75mm is the actual bullet nose, the threads are the same.

    Also, is there any difference in strength (for track days) between 75mm black studs and regular 57mm zinc plated studs?

        the zinc studs break. for track use, you want the bullet nose style. they're made with better steel, rolled instead of cut.

        you can use the 75mm studs, but the caps won't fit any longer.

          Thanks for the confirmation, was waiting on advice before ordering. Will definitely go with the 75mm,
          however, would cutting the bullet nose off the stud to fit the caps have any negative effects to the bolts? The nose itself is 20mm, so I figured take out 10-15mm and just use the double nut technique to install/uninstall the studs, either way Id be using double stud to torque the studs in

            I don't think so, as long as you don't get them too hot. go slow and cool them down.

            the bullet nose just keeps you from stripping the threads, it's really convenient when changing wheels often. but the stud will function fine without it.

                So, if the 57mm and the 75mm are exactly the same amount of thread, only difference being the bullet portion, why not just buy the 57mm's?

                  The strength of the studs seem to be different, just taking peoples word on this though

                  Edit: The actual listing of the studs are "street" for the 57mm and "race" for the 75mm, Im not a bolt professional so I really do not know.

                    I understand now. I'd just run capless, then you can buy some really cool rainbow titanium finish lugnuts for that ultra cool racer look.

                      I was told by the manufacturer not to use the zinc coated 57mm studs on the track. also, I personally broke 3 of them. not fun when your wheels are about to fall off coming down from 100mph.

                      but, some kid is bound to post how he drove his car really fast to the grocery store one time, and they didn't break.. :p

                        If you see a decent amount of track time then the 75mm bullet nose are the way to go. I do have a 60mm stud that I don't really push because its silver and would be priced basically the same as 75mm kit. perhaps those will work for you? The 60mm stud has a mini-bullet nose on it and is rolled just like my 75mm studs
