    Vote. 17x9's or not?

17x9 w/245's. Think they look too ricey? I kind of like them.

I think they are way too wide for an e30.

what size tires will you run? I'm having problems just finding some simple 225s for my 16x7.5s.

17x8.5 with 245's fit fine on my car.

I also have higher rear arches and a completely different suspension.

4x100 17x9's with 245's aren't going to work on your car without serious fender modifications.

I have some added clearance due to the 2.5" springs and negative camber. I'm thinking of ordering one wheel to make sure, but I think it will fit.

Several tires are available in 245/35/17

What offset at those wheels in 17x9

If I know that, its pretty easy to say if it will fit or not.

20mm. I think a small spacer will be needed in the front. I will turn a spacer that leaves as little clearance as possible.

17x9 ET20 will stick out past the fender front and rear.

Spacers will only make it worse.

Not sure about inside (strut housing/rear shock/inner fender well) clearance.

17x9 is probably going to rub on the front strut if I remember correctly. Wasn't Alex running a 5mm spacer with the brocks to make them 15mm?

hmm, I was thinking that I would have clearance problems with the strut before anything else.

                          Reporting to work.

17x9's will require ET12 or so at the highest, so you're looking at 8-10mm spacers and about 1.5" of wheel sticking out the fenders.

Whether or not that looks good is up to you. It's excessive width for a car that's not in competition, though. Stick to your 17x8" ET20 idea, those will fit and provide more than enough traction.

yeah, I just think the Pro-race wheels are uglier than sin. :(

                              Form < Function

I hate my current 16's. But I'll be damned if they weren't cheap and hold 225's without rubbing, sans spacers.
