        they wont fit. i had 17x8 et20 running 215/40/17 and they were rubbing on the rear fender, so i had the rears changed to about et25, and then they started rubbing on the struts when i would hit bumps/corner hard...

            Are you sure it was rubbing the strut? There are guys running 8.5" wide wheels with a similar offset with no rubbing anywhere, due to the angle of the rear shock.
