How do you clean your aluminum wheels?

I've got a set of style 5's with polished lips that have gotten filthy. I've used meguir's aluminum spray cleaner which did absolutely nothing. The only thing I found that takes the filthy crap off is paste aluminum polish. But it takes an hour to do 1 wheel, and that's not even to 100%. I've heard Flitz or Brown Royal works well. Anyone use these products or have any pointers?

None of the above. Buffing wheel with some polishing compound. Then microfiber and Mothers aluminum polish once the shine becomes obnoxious, 5 coats of Chemical Guys wheel guard. They'll look amazing and all you'll have to do to clean them for the next 4-6 months is lightly wipe with a rag.

if you like stripping off the protective finish and any paint along with the dirt, leaving exposed aluminum that will oxidize and look like ass.

Some aluminums are anodized like our bumpers and the oven cleaner will strip that off. If its not than it'll be fine. But than again if it was anodized you couldn't polish it with aluminum polish...the cloth your using needs to turn black as your cleaning it...if it doesn't than the aluminum is coated

Thanks for the tips guys. The wheels are bare aluminum, no coating. I've seen some of those wheel gaurd products and thought about using them, didn't know if they were worth a damn or not. The main thing I need to do is get a buffing wheel. Doing it by hand is NOT the way to go. It takes forever to clean just 1 wheel, then it's filthy again a week and a half later. I think the salty air of the atlantic coast isn't making it any easier.
