    Shaving Spacers

Is it safe to have a machine shop shave down a spacer? I have a set of 40mm spacers that need to be shaved down to make them 20mm.

    Thoughts?

20mm spacers are used but I would think your machine shop can tell you if its safe. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy what you need ?

That's what I was thinking. But yes it'll be safe if they do it right. People shave wheels a bit to increase the offsets.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
