I love the graphite - the Koseis coming to me are going to go that color.

          those borbets...

borbets look only good sometimes on e30s.
Generally they look a little too simple. Those painted rims are hot. The basket painted black is awesome. I'm thinking about doing mine in black. Way better than the borbets.

          - I would put clear on them as well, but that might loose the flat look. But it'll last alot longer.

          - powder coating is kind of iffy... unless you know someone who is reputation or pay top dollar. Cause they can really f up your wheel if they arent careful. Personally, the polyurethane wheel paint and clear will last a good long bit, like 3 + years, is more than enough to repaint again etc. Its not worth the risk of powder, not to mention you have to have your wheels unmounted, and then balance and mounted again, since the weight would fall off during the oven baking in powder coating.
--> around here in the metropolitan area, mount and balance usually run around 100 bucks. and around 60 per wheel = 350 some dollars + shipping, probably run around 400 + to get your wheels redone in black.

          - if you powder coat and you dont have all the machine's yourself, you might as well just buy wheels that came with black.

Sweet Jesus! I've never paid more than $12 a rim for mount/balance.
