Thanks for the post guys, I appreciate it.

I think the FK452 Falkens run narrow like the 512. They had a decent stretch to them on my 8" wide LM reps.

Still don't know what I want to buy though, LOL.

The FK452s do run narrow. The 275s on my 10s are stretched. But they are quieter and provide more wet weather traction then S Drives. My vote goes to the Nitto Gens. They last forever cause they are designed for camber, awesome wet weather traction, very quiet, and my auto x times only slightly improved when i upgraded to wider azenis 615s.

I've been torn back and forth with the cheapo Federal route and the NeoGen route. Mystikal has spoken highly of the Federals considering their very low price so I am going to try them out. It's hard to argue a set of 4 17" tires at $309 shipped vs $448 shipped for the Nittos.

If I don't like them, the hell with it. I'll smoke them to death.

I got 45k miles out of my Nittos. What are people getting on their federals?

I saw people claiming 30k+ but that really doesn't matter for me anyway. I drive the car once or twice a week.

i just ordered some 205 & 215/40/17 federal 595 evos, haven't mounted them yet though.

i had a set of ss595s awhile back and was pleased with them, we'll see how it goes with these...

Yeah, I set FTD at an auto-x in my E36 M3 after a month of car ownership on 595s. There was an HPF E46 M3 on PS2's driven by a BMWCC instructor, he was 2nd place a full second behind me.

                  Federals are legit.

                      Well, plans have changed.

They're out of stock on the Federal and the Nexen.

Looks like I'll go with the Nitto NeoGen. How are they in your eyes Mystikal?

I got a TON of life out of my neogens. Even with shitty toe in the rear and bad alignment up front, I still got 27k out of them. And when I replaced them, they weren't even showing belts. just bald.

i did at least 6 auto x events and a few hard canyon runs. i just rotated them with every oil change and got wheel alignments religously. I wish they made them wider. I'm going to end up with some 235/40 and 245/40 595s

I've had Neogens in the past, I like them a lot. I bought them as snow tires for an SE-R beater, they're surprisingly decent in the snow too haha
